- VMM seems to 'lose track' of memory sometimes if it stores it away for a
- long period of time. Uniconifying programs that have been sitting
- iconified for a long time while LW is rendering or whatever (many swaps
- happening between iconify and uniconify) is asking for a guru.
-
- Also, when you leave VMM and it says it's gonna take the memory and free
- it up again, 90% of the time it shits so I always reboot to get a nonVMM
- system back rather than quitting all my programs and disabling VMM. This
- is mostly a byproduct of AmigaDOS's lack of formal protected memory I
- suppose, that the programmer had trouble getting beyond.
-
- So I try to make sure that I don't iconify anything while I multitask
- with LW.
-
- LW tends to lock when I have extra commodities active. Since I always
- run VMM with LW I don't know if it's a VMM conflict or a LW one. The
- screen blanker totally didn't like LW at all, and YAK I believe also
- caused erradic behavior.
-
- I didn't see the logic in purchasing Gigamem with VMM around. I don't
- see how Gigamem could be that much better to be worth the investment.
